MALTA TRAVEL: Open Air Museum of St Julians and Sliema

Sometimes when you want to have one of those truly lovely, luxury, lazy days – you just have to make your way to a bayside area to soak up the sun, eat fresh fish and walk aimlessly around watching the boats and fishermen. This is a what a little slice of heaven looks like to me, and I found it in St Julian’s and Sliema. They are in walking distance of each other and I think it is best to start at St Julian’s and make your way backwards by walking along the water.

Our first stop was to have coffee and overlook the bay in St Julians. It’s an idyllic place to the North of Valletta and features Latin architecture at the Spinola Palace, traditional Luzzu boats in the bay and one of the best shopping districts in Malta: ‘The Point’.

Sliema is an amazing starting point to reach the islands of Malta – including Comino and Gozo. Just choose a boat and set sail! Watch our Travel Vlog video to see more of this area of the bay…
